Housekeeping staff is not using approved sanitizer to sanitize guest room bathroom sinks and vanities. After cleaning sinks, faucet handles, sink bowls and adjacent vanities (counters) with an all purpose cleaner, rinse and then sanitize these surfaces with an approved sanitizer (such as quaternary ammonium sanitizer (QA), which is available for housekeepers to use). Sanitizer may be applied by spraying on sink/vanity surfaces with spray bottle until glistening wet and then allowed to air dry. Sanitizer may also be applied to a clean cloth, wiped on surfaces and then allowed to air dry. NOTE: Concentration of Quat sanitizer shall be 150-400 ppm. Ensure test strips are available for use by housekeeping staff. Please order test strips.

Store spray bottles below and away from food/beverage items and clean linens. Keep lids in their original plastic bags or a clean zip lock bag. Make sure all chemical spray bottles are labeled. One spray bottle on a cart was not labeled.
