General Comments
DISCUSSION: Establishment water tested for lead on 8/9/2022. Child care operators shall test, once every three years, all water outlets used for drinking or food preparation. Facility will need to test the establishment's water again before 8/9/2025. For information on water testing, go to cleanwaterforcarolinakids.org...PROCEDURES FOR ILL CHILDREN: A child who becomes ill to the extent that the child can no longer participate in routine group activities shall be separated from the other children until the child leaves the child care center. An area where ill children are to be separated shall be designated. When in use, such area shall be equipped with a bed, cot, or mat and a vomitus receptacle and shall be cleaned and disinfected after each use. Thermometers and all materials used in the designated area, including toys, shall be cleaned and sanitized after each use. Linens shall be changed after each use. If the designated area required is not a separate room, then it shall be separated from space used by other children by a partition or screen. The designated area shall be located so that health and sanitation measures can be carried out without interrupting activities of other children and staff.
