Increase water pressure at drinking fountain in room 1214. Water should clear top of mouthguard. One roach observed in girls restroom in modular building. Take steps to eliminate and prevent additional presence. Cage and care instructions for gecko observed in one room. While NC School Sanitation Rules do not prohibit the presence of reptiles, they can harbor and spread salmonella and are not recommended as in-room pets. Evidence of previous leaks above ceiling observed in media center and in M606-08, but no active leaks or water seen. Recommend monitoring for future leaks. Toxic materials accessible in several rooms (bulk Formula 409 in low unlocked cabinet in 1220b, cleaners in low unlocked cabinet in 1214, misc. disinfectant wipes and similar items in other rooms). No students present at time of inspection. Please remember that all toxic items are required to be handled per manufacturers instructions, including warnings such as "keep out of reach of children". Recommend that items with only this warning be stored at 5 feet or above, and that any materials with additional warnings be kept in locked storage cabinets or closets. Recommend repairing damaged railings on either end of modular building. Board on railing closest to driveway has warped upward leaving exposed nail that could be an injury risk.
B. Drinking fountains must have adequate water pressure above the mouthguards. These fountains need to be regulated inside classroom 1206B, 1215B, 1217B.
