DISCUSSION: Kitchen only has a 2-compartment sink with no dishwasher, but many multi-service soiled children's cups were in sink and many were clean in a container near 2-comp sink. Multi-service items such as cups, plates, bowls, and silverware used by children that are designed to be used over and over again MUST be washed, rinsed and sanitized at a 3-compartment sink or in a dishwashing machine with a hot water sanitizing cycle. Therefore, with only a 2-comp sink, children's cups CANNOT be washed, rinsed and sanitized in the facility. Their cups must come from home, be labeled with the child's name and be returned home each day OR only disposable (one time use) cups can be used for the children...PARENT REMINDER: Remind parents that they MUST wash their hands upon entering a classroom if they will be touching items such as refrigerator handles or other equipment and items inside the classroom.
