Repair broken toilet seat in Girls bathroom #3240/stall #8. The main sewer/waste water drain pipe line for the athletic hall was blocked at the start of the inspection. Waste water was backing out of floor drains in the men`s locker rooms #416, the men`s locker room #418, the women`s locker room #420, the women`s locker room #424, the athletic program laundry room #414 and in training room #414. A Wake County Public School System plumbing specialist came to the school building during the sanitation inspection and unclogged the sewer drain line. Custodial staff cleaned the floors of the athletic hall locker rooms. The clogged sewer line for the athletic hall has been a continuing issue per notice of custodial and coaching staff. This sewer line should be checked by the Wake County Schools Maintenance Division and fully repaired to prevent continual and ongoing blockages and back ups of sewage/waste water into locker rooms and other areas used by students and staff.

There were carpeted classrooms with stains and debris that need to be removed. Torn carpet found on the sides of the stairs in the auditorium. Torn carpet also found on the ramp(right side) in the auditorium and front entry into the media center. Clean the dust build-up on the wooden parts of the walls in the auditorium. Some of the classrooms, with the carpeted floors, had a good amount of storage found on the floor that will prevent efficient cleaning from being done. Storage must be 15 inches above the floor to help facilitate cleaning. Recommendation for better storage in carpeted classrooms to help before steam cleaners address the cleaning.

Clean the dust build-up found on ventilation units in the classrooms. There were a number of dented/damaged blinds that need to be replaced. Replace the blown light bulbs found in rooms 2208, 3304, 3326, and in the 3rd floor hallway. Must be clean and in good repair.
Clean the classrooms that have carpet to remove the stains and gum that was left in the carpet. Clean the walls in the classrooms to remove the pencil and ink pins marks on the walls.

Repair the worn wall in the boy's restroom 332 in the stall. Repair the hole in the wall in annex 4 boy's restroom. Restroom 3340 has coving missing-replace. Recaulk the sink in women's restroom by the auditorium. Wood on the wall behind the urinal in the 3rd annex. Replace with a smooth and easily cleanable wall. One women's toilet is not working which is located by the dance room. One drinking fountain by the boy's locker room water pressure is low. Increase the water pressure to above the mouthguard. Light is blown in the janitor's closet room 422. Keep all storage off the floor in the art storage closet, 8" off the floor on shelving.
