Cut melon/reach in 39 Milk/refrigerator at service area 43 ***Establishment has started doing significant amounts of food preparation in staging kitchen originally intended to be used simply for staging food prepared at Winston Clubhouse kitchen. This is not the intended use of this kitchen. Please return this kitchen to the activities for which it was originally approved. Return major food preparation (i.e. preparation of meals) to Clubhouse kitchen, to be verified by a visit on 9/5/14. Contact Rob Richardson with Wake County Plan Review to discuss options for moving forward with prep in this kitchen.*** Staff states that re-usable bedpans would be washed in patient rooms, but none are currently in use in the facility. Toilets in patient rooms lack spray arms. If re-usable bedpans are ever brought into service, please follow this guidance: "Where bedpans are cleaned in patient rooms, bedpan cleaning facilities shall consist of a water closet with bedpan lugs or spray arms. Where facilities for cleaning bedpans are not provided in patient rooms, bedpans shall be taken to a soiled utility room and be cleaned and disinfected using an EPA registered hospital disinfectant after each use."
