Observed a small food processor. Discussed with the manager and Child Nutrition, Sherry Farrell about this. I informed them that all equipment in the permitted facility shall be NSF/ANSI or equivalent. Food processor did not meet the requirements and must be removed. Ms. Farrell informed me that the food processor is for the special needs children and they have their own staff that comes into the kitchen to prepare food for these children. Staff that prepare food in the permitted facility shall comply with all of the .2600 NC Rules and Regulations for Food Service Establishments and shall wear hair restraints and prepare or handle food by approved methods.
