In the corner of this white plastic cover is a magnet that activates the unit to start making ice again. The cover would not go back in place because there is a strip of plastic below the cold plate that was not attached properly. There is a screw missing. It did pop back in place and the unit did start making ice again. It needs the screw so it does not come loose again and stop making ice.
